MaineHealth 2024 Nurse Educator Conference

This course is designed to build a nurse educator’s tool kit for creating and delivering content that is evidence based, engaging while utilizing software and technology to provide a variety of interactive modalities.

1. Have the foundation needed to outline and implement a learning event using a low fidelity simulator.
2. Describe 4 methods that can be implemented either in the classroom or at the bedside to engage learners.
3. State how evidence based practice can be utilized in teachings
4. Identify 3 resources available to them through MaineHealth that can be applied to the trainings they provide.
5. Discuss the passion for nursing that brings nurses into the profession, burnout that can develop and how to intervene.

In support of improving patient care, Maine Medical Center (MMC) is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. MMC can accredit continuing education activities with the following credit types: Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE), Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), and American Psychological Association (APA).
