Social Work Grand Rounds is a monthly lecture series covering topics relevant to Social Work Profession in the medical setting. Social Workers and attendees will learn about various services, interventions, resources, and other important topics related to social work ethics and professional development. This activity provides 1 CEU per session.

1. Review common hospital infections in the patient who injects drugs (PWID), and their typical treatment regimens.
2. Understand experiences of patients who inject drugs in the hospital environment.
3. Review harm reduction and the evidence around harm reduction-based discharge options for patients who injects drugs.
4. Develop new relationships and network with other providers within the MaineHealth system.
5. Describe how an interdisciplinary approach to working with patients who inject drugs supports better patient outcomes.
