Social Work Grand Rounds - 8/18/2026

Social Work Grand Rounds is a monthly lecture series covering topics relevant to Social Work Profession in the medical setting. Social Workers and attendees will learn about various services, interventions, resources, and other important topics related to social work ethics and professional development. This activity provides 1 CEU per session.

1. Describe new resources in the community to promote best practice within the social work profession.
2. Develop new relationships and network with other providers within the MaineHealth system.
3. Build new relationships with outside agencies and organizations and be able to select and support new referrals for patients.
4. Describe and Demonstrate new and best practices to clinical social work practice in the inpatient and outpatient medical setting.
5. Illustrate and determine best ethical practice amongst new and experienced social work practitioners.
6. At the end of each Grand Rounds participants will be able to identify, explain, and apply new information and best practice to their social work practice in the professional setting.

In support of improving patient care, MaineHealth is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. MaineHealth is also approved to accredit continuing education activities with the following credit types: Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE), Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), American Psychological Association (APA), Registered Dietitians (RDs) and Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTRs).
