Trauma STN: Neck Trauma

The activity is focused on providing learners the knowledge of neck trauma. The different mechanism of injury that impact the anatomical region of the neck, and how to identify and treat neck trauma in patients. The modules go through the steps of neck trauma and where to begin when it’s present in patient’s whose present at your facility.

1. Recognize the mechanism of injury and associated injury patterns across the spectrum of neck trauma.
2. Assess for the soft and hard symptoms of neck trauma.
3. Identify the diagnostic modalities used to evaluate patients with neck trauma.
4. Discuss the medical and nursing interventions appropriate for the management of the patient with neck trauma.
