Didactic and interactive presentations will be provided by local, regional and national experts on a range of topics relevant to Internal Medicine and its subspecialties. In addition to clinical medicine topics, some of these presentations will be geared towards medical education/pedagogy, research, quality improvement, ethics and professionalism. These sessions are planned to be of value to a wide range of inter-professional learners.

1. Evaluate history, physical exam and laboratory findings and apply new information about disease processes and treatment options.
2. Integrate social determinants of health into treatment planning for complex medical conditions.
3. Evaluate new evidence about diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions across the medical specialties and incorporate this evidence base into the care plan for patients using principles of evidence based medicine.

In support of improving patient care, Maine Medical Center (MMC) is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. MMC can accredit continuing education activities with the following credit types: Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE), Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), and American Psychological Association (APA). Registered Dietitians (RDs) and Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTRs)
