Course Overview
This is a monthly series on Neuroscience education to aid in the development of nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants throughout Maine Medical Center and Maine Medical Partners Neurosurgery and Neurology. It will benefit nurses who wish to sit for their Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN) exam and the Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) as well as general education for nurses and providers within both areas.

Objectives
  1. Verbalize understanding of a focused neurologic exam, levels of consciousness.
  2. Identify what workup to anticipate for various neurologic changes.
  3. Demonstrate 3 things useful in communication with providers.

Accreditation
MaineHealth’s Office of Continuing Education is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and also provides credit for the American Medical Association Physician's Recognition Award.
