MaineHealth Educator Conference

This year’s conference is designed and provided by educators to shine a light on the creative educational initiatives occurring within Maine and at MaineHealth.

1. Participant will be able to describe the importance of orientation, preserving the preceptor, concepts of feedback and competency evaluation.
2. Participant will be able to discuss concepts related to learner engagement, including inclusivity, literacy and intergenerational challenges.
3. Participant will be able to describe core components of nursing research and utilization to create a research conference poster.
4. Participant will be able to discuss the value of fidelity and apply the concepts to multiple simulation modalities.
5. Participant will describe two examples of creative solutions for education.

In support of improving patient care, Maine Medical Center (MMC) is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. MMC can accredit continuing education activities with the following credit types: Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE), Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), and American Psychological Association (APA). Registered Dietitians (RDs) and Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTRs)
